Problems with 3D? Fix is Now Available.
Monday, May 24, 2010
If you have been unable to export your timelines, we have a new release for you that should fix the problem!
There is an incompatibility bug between Mac OS X 10.6.3 and computers with the Intel GMA 950 graphics card. This affects MacBooks that were sold a few years ago as well as certain MacMini machines. The bug causes applications such as Bee Docs Timeline 3D to crash when they use a 3D anti-aliasing technique called mipmapping.
In the version of Bee Docs Timeline 3D that I just posted, we detect whether you are using the buggy combination of GPU and OS and automatically disable the mipmapping to avoid the crash. You may notice a bit of shimmering or jagged text in the 3D mode, but it is a subtle difference. The majority of our customers remain unaffected.
If you have had problems with the 3D mode or exports, please use the "Check for Updates" feature in Bee Docs Timeline to upgrade to 2.11.4.

Tried to buy a license for my Mac OSX10.5 and while my card certainly got hit.....i received and error message rather than a license code. Frustrating and NOT a good way to start out. Hope this is resolved by morning!
working again - hooray
thanks

Just gotta say I love the app. Please tell me you're working on an iPad version!
Terrific! Problem solved, 3D working wonderfully. Beautiful piece of software, guys.

3D still does not work on my iMac/OSX 10.6.4
It does not crash, but simply displays the timeline in 2D.
Any suggestions?

Claudia, did you see our 101 video?

It shows how the 3D mode should work. If it doesn't work the same way as the video, please send Elise an e-mail and we'll try to help you solve it.
I have the same problem as Claudia.
3D view does not work on my MacBook Pro (13" June 2010) with Nvidia graphic, on 10.6.4. It just displays 2D.
Export to Keynote works though.
A bit of update:
3D actually kinda works now - I've just realised that I have to press spacebar to start the 3D flow.
However, the 3D view starts randomly in the middle of the timeline instead of the very beginning. Say, it starts from the 4th item then it goes all the way to the end, and then loops back to the beginning and finishes on the 3rd item.
Any fix for that?
